After quite a long while, WhatsApp has finally rolled out video calling functionality to all its users. All you have to do is update the app to the latest version and you're good to make video calls. The video calling update is likely to make WhatsApp a more well-rounded competitor to the likes of Skype and Google Duo.

1. Update the app to the latest version.
2. Launch WhatsApp and tap the name of the contact with whom you want to initiate a video call. Tap the call button.
3. Once this is done, the app will provide the option to either make a video call or a voice call.
4. Select the video call option and get talking.
It is worth noting that the contact you are video calling must also have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on their smartphone, otherwise the call won't be placed.
The video and audio quality was very good over Wi-Fi, but did go down a bit when using mobile data.
